Hello,I know that SharePoint scales pictures, but what is the optimal size to upload pictures?Also, many of the user profile pictures look crappy--white eyes and such that don't show on the original picture. How can I avoid this? What is the optimal resolution?Thanks!

I have the same question too here :) if anyone can help that would be great :)However, i had this problem when doing the people's search, thus i did a workaround with sharepoint designer.The pictures were ugly though my other colleagues are quite pretty and handsome ;) that's not fairrrrrr for them ... :p anyway, what i did, when i customized the people's search result, i created a html picture's controlwhere i can re-size the width and height thus itgives me a better nice looking pictures.here is the link on how-to customize the people's searcg result, if you are interested in.http://on3onsharepoint.wordpress.com/2008/08/16/customize-people-search-result-page/Hopefully helps.

Optimal resolution I believe is 144x72

Thanks for posting the res, but haven't had the issue in 2010--forget what I did to fix it in SP 2007 :)
