User Profile: How do I map jpegPhoto AD attribute to SharePoint Picture?
The Active Directory "jpegPhoto" attribute is not available in the list of mapping attributes for a SharePoint User Profile Property, i.e. Picture. How do I add it? I can see in the FIM tool where I can go to "Management Agents" / {Domain} / Properties / "Select Attributes" (tick Show All) and select jpegPhoto. Then I can see how to "Configure Attribute Flow" and map the jpegPhoto to SPS_MV_OctetString_PictureURL. How do I proceed from here?

When I copy what SharePoint does with the thumbnailPhoto mapping and "Configure Attribute Flow" on the MOSS-{GUID} Agent and try to map SPS_MV_OctetString_PictureURL to PictureURL, I get the following error: --------------------------- Synchronization Service Manager --------------------------- The type of PictureURL (String) is not compatible with the type of SPS_MV_OctetString_PictureURL (Binary) --------------------------- OK --------------------------- How do I get around this? PowerShell? There are other posts about this, but none seem to provide an answer for using jpegPhoto, unless I'm missing something: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepoint2010general/thread/3091ec2c-16f1-41d0-9b42-c7c09e6bdbe2/http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepoint2010setup/thread/5ac2d649-1c56-4bb9-8479-99a164a2add2/
