User Principal Name (UPN) is blank in AD
I've just noticed that after provisioning accounts to AD that the userPrincipalName attribute is blank. Not sure why this is happening. Do I need to set this attribute in the Outbound Sync rule?

You are correct, you need to set it in the outbound sync rule.Joe Stepongzi - Identity Management Consultant - ILM MVP - www.microsoftIdM.com,ilmXframework.codeplex.com

UPN is not a required attribute in AD and thus you can create an account without a UPN value. You need to add an outbound attribute flow for any attribute that you need to have
value to including UPN
