User Data and Profiles

sccm 2012 sp1 cu01

I am trying to use SCCM to redirect My Documents, Pictures, desktop and favorites. I have created a test user and test environment.

I have enabled Compliance settings. Admin > Client Settings > Default Client Settings > Compliance Settings

I have created a User Data and Profile Item. Assets and Compliance > User Data and Profiles

I have deployed it to a collection containing the test user.

I have verified the remote path and user rights.

When I do a RSOP I do not see the settings anywhere.

When I log onto a computer nothing is redirected, any ideas what I'm missing?

How can I tell if enabling the compliance settings is applied? On the client I see that under Components that Compliance and Settings Management status is Enabled but it was long before I enabled it yesterday from the parent.

Hi, You could create a batch file and deploy through SCCM. Below is the entry you can try to change. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders] You could change <Favorites = %USERPROFILE%\Favorites> to <Favorites = d:\Favorites>
And the batch file is like, C :\> regedit /s <above registry
key>
You also could use a GPO for setting that.

Thank you for your reply.

I am aware of all the different ways to accomplish this however new with SCCM 2012 configmgr is the redirect policy. This is what I'm trying to get to work, at least to learn it. Seems pretty simply and straight forward however I have enable the feature, set a profile and applied it to a collection and nothing happens.

Looking for info on configmgr redirect guidline.

Thanks,

Since no one has answer this post, I recommend opening  a support case with Microsoft Customer Support Services (CSS) as they can work with you to solve this problem.
