User Administration Audit Log Report - SQL Server Reporting Services
Could any one help me in finding a solution to generate a report of all the actions like user creation, rights modification etc done by a perticular user on SQL Server Report Services. I know we can retrieve report execution audit log but I am interested in User Managemenet audit information.TMD

You can check the Reporting Services LogViewer tool. This has some reports which can be used for administration: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/business_intelligence_labs/archive/2011/04/27/reporting-services-logviewer.aspx and video about its usage here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/bi/default.aspx Chaitanya( Twitter | Blogs ) Any documentation bug? Thank for the reply. What I can see from below description It is helpful only to get information about report execution and processing. I want to get audit log who has created a user and when user rights are modified etc. Trace logs record report execution activity and the environment variables that are in effect during report processing. Errors and exceptions are also entered into trace logs. The sample helps us identify the frequency of the errors and exceptions logged in the trace logs. Provide tips to fix any errors logged in Logfiles. Describe the ExecutionLog columns, with tips on how to interpret values. Interpret the ExecutionLog2.AdditionalInfo and some interesting pieces of information it provides. Provide tips to analyze ExecutionLog2 information. Provide tips to optimize reports. TMD

The tool can give you a direction, and the other blog I mentioned about would help you read the needed data from ExecutionLog. This has pretty much all the details needed about any activities on Reports.Chaitanya( Twitter | Blogs ) Any documentation bug? Tell us about it at Connect. I have downloaded, installed, configured and used the log viewer tool but I wasn't able to see any event which records user activity pertaining to creation of user or rights assignment or any other management activity. TMD

Almost all the information is stored in reportserver catalog databases. you can try to use the appropriate APIs to get this information: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/reportservice2005.reportingservice2005_methods.aspx I generally use the following methods too frequently if i need to work on some administration work against SSRS: ListChildren, GetSystemProperties, GetSystemPolicies, GetRoleProperties, GetPolicies, GetProperties, GetPermissions, and many other APIs. Suggest you to check these, and you have some code snippets for your reference in these topics. Chaitanya( Twitter | Blogs ) Any documentation bug? Tell us about it at Connect.
