LOL, ok there is really a pointer.
It's just to switch between the insert mode of a task back to the select mode to mark an existing task. It not as task like the others. Olaf Helper

Sir can u please demonstrate the use of pointer with a video if u could find it somewhere or just snapshots, iam clueless about that tool.
Though i know it must not be very important, but still got an urge to find it

This is not a tool, this is an artifact in shape of an arrow pointing sideways that merely resets your selection made previously inside the toolbox, this is what this thread was about, it was not immediately transparent may be, thing is when you hover
over its icon it does bring up a tooltip that says "Pointer" and that is perhaps misleading but basically was a slick and pointless question at an interview IMHO.Arthur My Blog
