Use SCCM 2007 to Migrate Clients To New Domain and Retain Profile Settings
Ok, I have a little problem. I currently have 250 PCs in a domain that is managed by an IT Outsource company. It has been decided to terminate this agreement and manage the network ourselves. The PCs are currently being managed by some In-House software very similar to SCCM. I intend on setting up a SCCM 2007 server in a NEW domain and use it to manage all of our clients. So here is what I need to do: 1) Setup a SCCM server in a new Domain and deploy agents to all existing PCs 2) Use SCCM to migrate PCs to my new domain 3) I will also need to make sure all user profile settings are copied/moved into the new profile that will be created when user logs onto new domain. So my question is, is this even possible. Can i create a task sequence that will successfully migrate a PC to a new domain and also retain all existing user profile settings? And if so how would i do this? Any help would be much appreciated.
