Urgent Enquiry: SSRS calling stored proc to populate.
We are doing a banking project. The SSRS reports read data from fact and dimension table. fact table doesn't have many aggregations. All the aggregations are done by stored proc called by the SSRS report. Will it be good to have these aggregations at datawarehouse level in aggregate table and then SSRS simply populates it from aggregate tables. Please guide.

Yes I had a similar experience in a banking project. we initially used to pull data directly from Fact table but as the data grew the reports began to timeout. We then moved to aggregate tables which were populated by nightly jobs Spandan
