Hello, I have been working on a document library creating columns and I have this library set to "No versioning" but When i upload files using "Upload Multiple files" Everything seems fine...Until I open Datasheet view to fill in the column data.As I Fill in the column Data, Sharepoint makes a copy of the file with the date in it and adds it to the bottom of my current view. I can't finish tagging them all. This was not happening last week... Did I make a change somewhere?

My understanding is that when you edit document meta data in DataSheet view of a document library, the documents make copy of itself. Do you have workflow or event handler attached to the document library to copy the file?

Okay, So it turns out that I had versioning turned on. Whoops and DUH! I turned versioning off but the doc library continued make copies on edit. It turns out all of the files I am loading into this document library have been there before, but been deleted. As this was quickly turning into an event that would take longer to investigate than to solve... I created a new document library and made sure NOT to click on versioning, and boom. Problem fixed.
