Is there a way to upload attachments directly from Outlook to Sharepoint without saving locally first?

Yeah, have you tried dragging and dropping from Outlook's Reading Pane?

For SP2010, I used an outlook extension named Out2Share.

it allows us to drag and drop directly from our input box

Under the Library tab there is an icon "Open in Windows Explorer" clicking on this will open your library in a standard windows explorer window. You can just drag and drop from Outlook into this window and it will appear in your library.

We can upload by using the Drag and drop functionality in sharepoint.Chcek the below link on how to configure that function.

If you are using Outlook 365, you can download Sharepoint Connect from Microsoft App Store. The app allows you to upload to Sharepoint directly from Outlook 365 or desktop
