Upgrading from SCCM 2012 R2 (no CU) to SCCM 2012 R2 SP1- what to expect?

I am upgrading my client's primary site server from SCCM 2012 R2 with no CU to SCCM 2012 R2 SP1 tomorrow afternoon so that they can support Windows 10 clients.  I have only had a few days to prepare and have been reading through blogs and faqs as much as possible.

I have obtained the source files for SP1 and prepared a lab with the same build version (2012 R2 with no CU) and I am running through the R2 SP1 upgrade as I type.  It seems to be going well so far...  I am looking for any feedback from those who have already done this upgrade?  I find these types of posts helpful from the "real world" experiences that folks have had.

For example: were existing deployments impacted (software updates or apps)?  Were any site systems impacted that required remediation after the update?  Was there down time with any of the components after the upgrade?  Were there steps you wished you had taken prior to the upgrade that would have made it easier?  Were you able to manage Windows 10 clients afterward?

Any advice (positive or negative) is appreciated.

Thanks,  FP

i haven't seen any issues with respect to software updates or application but there is major issue with drivers which causes your drive package size increases. There is fix for this driver issue https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3084586 also you should install R2 SP2 CU1 which fixes couple of existing issues in Configmgr 2012 R2 SP1  https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3074857

See this thread: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/7485467b-5d10-412a-968a-44d68fab41a1/2012-r2-sp1-upgrade-experiences?forum=configmanagerdeployment

Update: I lost two R2SP1 sites which I had to restore from backup, so make sure you have a tested disaster recovery procdure in place.
