Hello all,

I was recently in contact with Intune support, they told me, in order to manage windows phone 8.1 devices i had to have the SCCM r2 CU4, 

our current setup is Windows Server 2012 standard, with SCCM 2012 standard, no SP1, no R2, no CU.

The following question seems logical to me but the intune support made me doubt the answer,

do i first have to upgrade the server to 2012 R2 before upgrading SCCM?

SCCM upgrades pass by SCCM sp1, then to SCCM R2?

Is it possible to upgrade SCCM to SCCM R2 CU4, without having to upgrade the Server first?

You don't have to upgrade the operating system, just ConfigMgr. First upgrade ConfigMgr to SP1, then to R2 and then to CU4.
