Upgrade sccm clients from sp1 to sp2
Hi, Our servers have been upgraded to sccm sp2 and now I want to upgrade the clients. I have checked a number of resources and the best way seems to create a package and advertise it in the usual way. My question is that we have a number of customisations i.e. the client cache is in a different place and the cache size is set to quite a large size. Can I just role out the standard ccmsetup.exe application in the setup box of the package or must I specify the cache location and size so that I do not lose thes customisations. I have seen some installations where everything has gone back to default, but I would like to check this on this forum since I am deploying this to 20,000 clients (I'll test it on a small number first). Also is there any othere gotchas such as needing to do a reboot after install etc. Thanks

Hi, I would modify the installation properties to match what ever requirements you have. It's a new installation and the "new" installation properties will be used.Kent Agerlund | http://scug.dk/members/Agerlund/default.aspx | The Danish community for System Center products
