Upgrade of MOSS 2007 x64 SP2 to SP3 to cumulative update June 2010
Hi, I had installed MOSS 2007 x64 with SP2 and upgraded the setup with Cumulative Update Hotfix using the URL http://support.microsoft.com/hotfix/KBHotfix.aspx?kbnum=983310&kbln=en-us which gives us the package office-kb983310-fullfile-x64-glb, as per documentation of the hotfix, it should give us a sharepoint.dll version 12.0.0.6539, but after installing the hotbox given above (983310), the sharepoint dll version is 12.0.0.6421. I would like to understand if someone has faced the same issue, and what would be required to get the sharepoint.dll to required version 12.0.0.6539. Hi Ram, Did you run SharePoint Products and Technology Wizard after hotfix installation, if not please run it and check version.Regards, Pratik Vyas | SharePoint Consultant | http://sharepointpratik.blogspot.com/

If the version of the SharePoint dll is still showing the old version, that means the binary installation has not completed successfully. Check for any errors in the event viewer about msi-installers. Thanks, Dip
