Upgrade Sharepoint 2010 to Sharepoint 2013.

Hello ,

I am planning to upgrade to SharePoint server 2010 to SharePoint server 2013 . Currently I am having 2 web front end Servers , 1 Application server and another one is for database Server .

I am having few queries as below :

1) How can I plan my upgrade ?

2) I gone through many blogs but I don't have clear Idea about how can I upgrade Service Applications Like : User Profile Service ,Search Services . I have Configure from scratch or database attach method will work .

3) What are the critical issue that I can face during upgrade ?

4)  Is it require to upgrade Custom solutions or Master Page which i have develop in SP10 .

Thanks in Advance  :)

There is a lot of material on 2010 to 2013 upgrades. A good staring point is here:http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc303420.aspx

2: This is the specific technet article on upgrading service apps: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj839719.aspx

3: Too many to list, always do a test upgrade first

4: Custom solutions will almost certainly need upgrading, master pages might be usable whilst the system is running in 14 mode. When you move to 15 mode then they too will need upgrading/converting.
