Upgrade SCOM from SP1 to R2 CU5.
Hello,
I want to upgrade SCOM 2007 SP1 to the latest release SCOM R2 CU5. What is the steps to do so? Do I have to upgrade the agents two times for this, after the R2 upgrade and then after CU5 or can I first upgrade the SCOM system to R2 CU5 and then take the agents
as a last step?
Best Regards,
Soren S.

i'm not entirely sure, but i think you have to do upgrade the agents twice. if you don't have manual installed agents that'll be an easy step anyway, just approve them in pending...Rob Korving

Yes, your right, it´s mostly the manual installed agents that could have saved us a little time.

Hi
Sadly you can't slipstream cumulative updates into SQL 2008 R2 RTM - it would save a lot of grief, even for green field installs.
So as Rob says - for all components. Upgrade to SQL 2008 R2 RTM first. Then upgrade to Cumulative Update 5.
Cheers
