Update download issue for Clients

We created a new Deployment in SCCM 2007 for May 2015 Patches and sent it to the computers.

Somehow all the computers are showing they are stuck on "Downloading Update(s) "

I am not sure what i need to check as the logs look clean, however i can see this in the ctm log

This entry shows up every 1 hour.

I am not sure what actually is pending download. I cant track it down in the logs.

Any suggestions on what i should look.

Also i found online that there is some applet know as "Software Updates Installation Progress"  , i cant seem to find that in the control panel .

We are running SCCM 2007 SP2 R2

Check updatedeployment.log, updatestore.log and UpadteHandler.log

These three logs will provide you information about download of updates till successful installation.

check earlier logs (earlier in the process) - it seems that the policy and scan are occurring, but, location/content/boundary is not working (if so then the update content cannot be located/downloaded from DP for this client)

have you downloaded the updates into a package?
have you distributed the package to relevant DP's for this client?

did you check the CAS.log?

usually this is a result of one of the below

1) Overlap of boundaries

2) Wrongly assigned boundaries

3) Package unavailable on the specific DP that the client is assigned to

Possibly the updates were not downloaded . I was using the network location for updates and it might have been that they were not present.

I changed the download location to Internet and then started the download again.

This fixed the issue as it was one of the updates that was missing files.
