Update client to SCCM 2007 R3
HI Guys,
I know upon installing hotfix on site server, there will be two packages create automatically. One is to install the hotfix for other client machines. I am confused with the other package which is "KB977384 – Advanced Client Patch Install".
What is it and what is it used for.??
Thakns.

You need to install this hotfix on the all the SCCM servers (before installing R3 feature pack) and this patch needs to be installed on all the clients as well.
Please go through the R3 installation check list for more details

The "KB977384 – Advanced Client Patch Install" package is the client hot fix. That's the one you should deploy to all clients in order to get patch mgmt. working.Kent Agerlund | My blogs: http://blog.coretech.dk/author/kea/ and http://scug.dk/ | Twitter @Agerlund | Linkedin: /kentagerlund

Hi,
As I know kb977384 will create one package, name KB977384 - Advanced Client Hotfix - <site code> with a program KB977384 - Advanced client patch install.
For detailed information about R3 and kb977384 have a look at this:

A package is created when you install the HF on the server. Send that to the clients.
You can follow this article on "Description of the prerequisite hotfix for System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3" for extended description.
