Update applications

To update App-V packages/applications, can you use the option "update content" (right click on deployment type)? In general, I 'd create a new version and unpublish the old version by supersedence/uninstall but wonder if that option would do the trick also.

*When you select update content and the source share is updated, the package is updated on SCCM share, correct (so no need to create a new package)?
*When you update the content, the clients don't get it automatically but a new deployment needs to be scheduled(?)

For a new version of the application I would use a new application, like you're currently doing. That's how the application model is intended to work.
