I am working on a requirement to update 2000 records into a list of MS SharePoint 2007. The updation is being done by a code that runs from another page in SharePoint site.

However, the list updation doesn't happen. The operation is also very slow. Are there any restrictions or limitations in updating 2000 records in a list of SharePoint 2007. Any help in this regard will be appreciated.

As far as I'm aware of, there are no visible limits as such. However operation may be slow because of how code is written.

I checked though there are no such limits. However, I have observed that MOSS 2007 becomes very slow after updating 1000+ records using batch update. I sometimes get E.Abort exception when more than 2 updates are done one after another. Is there any way to resolve this issue.
