First off, I was wondering if there was a way that I can push out updates through Intune to an individual computer and not groups. In other words, I have a group called A but I cannot push out updates to group A at the moment but I can push it out to 5 computer in group A. I'm not thinking this is possible unless I make a group called B, and move these 5 computer into this B group and approve all updates for the group B and then move them back into A when done.

Secondly, this is probably a vague question, but can I force Intune to sync with AD? There are times where I add a computer to a group but it wont show up in its new group in Intune until the next day.

You are quite right. That would be the only way to do it. You have to deploy the updates to groups rather than individual computers.

You can force the AD synchronisation at any time using Dir Sync (this can also take a little while for changes to appear).
