Unsued Replica Volume deletion?

Hello Guy's,

i had the following problem: On a Server we have drive f: wich is backed up by DPM.

The Disk for drive f: was exchange with anotherone (Its a iSCSI device).
After that the DPW 2012 R2 Backup for drive F failed (unabled to configure protection). Caused by the change of the drive ID i guess.
So i removed an readded F: in the DPM Server Console and the Backup seems to work again. So far so good.

But now Back to my question: The Replica Volume for drive f: is consuming arround 7 TB, so thats a big chunk of DATA.

Will the old Replica Volumen of F: be deleted automaticly (after the Backups expire) or do i have to remove it manualy ?

thanks for any Help,

regards

Stefan

Hello Mike,

thanks for your in detail reply.

Edit:

I didn't relized that there appaeard a new Recovery Group "Inactive Protection" and that you can remove the Replica there.

So a little shame on me for not looking closely enought.

thank you and regards

Stefan
