Unknown Error in Application Management/Manage Form Templates
When I try to navigate to the Manage Forms Templates page in the Application Management I receive the wonderful message "Unknown Error". I can't seem to find any information in the log file, nor any information anywhere on how to troubleshoot and resolve the underlying issue. Any ideas? thanks

I followed those tips and never was able to enable debugging. Before this issue occured I had uploaded an Infopath form, which eventually ended with a "Failed to Upload" status. In the Manage Form Templates interface I removed the form. Figuring that maybe I had set something incorrectly, I then recompiled and published the form, but theUnknown Error occurredwhen I tried to return to theto the Manage Form Templates to have another go at uploading. After much anguish and pulling of hair, I found a embedded in a post to try and remove the original "failed" form upload using stsadm removeformtemplate with the formid as the parameter. When I did that, the "Unknown Error" issue was resolved and I was able to get to the Manage Form Templates interface once again. Apparently removing the "Failed to Upload" form using the Manage Form Templates interface doesn't do the whole job.Incidentally, in another post concerning forms that fail to upload for apparently no reason, it was suggested to merely rename the file as a possible solution. After I renamed the file, it uploaded just fine.

Hello , I had the same problem , and considered all the options on this thread and others, but nothing fixed this problem Here is the Fix. If you have more than one WFE , Web Front End. server , you must make sure you have the same version of the Service Pack on all the WFE. How to know if this is the problem , If you don't have the same version of the WFE on the same farm you will not be able to upload ANY FORM :). try to create a simple form 1 field and try to publish it , you will get the same exact error . if that is the case with you , try to install , or reinstall the Service Packs on all your WFE. Good Luck If this fixes your problem mark it as a fix. -George Gergues -SharePoint Architect.

Hi, I've faced this issue many times before - this is a common problem of "MOSS 2007 InfoPath Services". You can check for solution on my blog: http://ajaxme.blogspot.com/2010/07/you-got-unknown-error-when-accessing.html Eran Hefer.
