Union All task error
Hi There, Yes you are right, I follow the same procedure, however in this scenario, found that one Derived column (A source to union all) had missing columns from its Input (OLEDB source) so and that missing column was refered by the script task which was after the Union All, bcoz of which it was giving us the pre execute phase error. Now i have added that column in the derived task and its working fine. The one you have suggested is the standard procedure ........Thanks :)

Hi SSIS Experts, The package has Union All task and this gets the input from the Many source like OLEBD and Even Derived Columns. Derived columns have few columns added as new due to datatype changes or due to requirement. So hence we are not supposed to remove them (As searched for my error encountere i found that experts suggesting not to use derived column to generate a new input to Union all.) But as this is the requirement we have to do so .... The error i am getting is [SSIS.Pipeline] Error: component "Union All" (59646) failed the pre-execute phase and returned error code 0x80070057. Any workaround?

so use data flow task and different sources ----> then UNION ALL ..... but make sure you have to connect UNION_ALL to the source which have maximum no of columns for example your Source1 have 50 columns and Source2 have 30 columns then .. here u have to map source one first with your UNION ALL and then Sorece2.
