Unable to upgrade Database Version, 64-bit Reporting Service with 32-bit Remote SQL Database
HI, I am not able to configure reporting services, I have installed SQL 2005 x64 (SP3 Version 9.0.4262) on Windows 2008 R2 server and trying to configure the SQL Reporting services to a remote 32 bit SQL Database Server (9.00.4035). During the Database Setup in Report Service Configuration Manager, I get an error saying, ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Verify Database Version" The database version (C.0.8.40) does not match your reporting services installation. You must upgrade your reporting services database "Upgrading the Reporting Services Database" There was a problem applying the database upgrade script. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- I would like to know whether it is supported to have 64-bit reporting services on 64 bit server and Report Server DB and Report Server Temp DB on 32 bit SQL Server. Hi R-Paul, I would suggest we install SP3 to the SQL Database Server. Make sure that the two computers are running the SQL Server with the same version (SP3 Version 9.0.4262). If the error still occurs, please put the message in more info link here.
