Unable to start project application service
Dear All, I have been struggling since long to start projectserverapplication service. Just a brief of the environment, its a single server where I have installed project server 2007 on windows server 2008 with sp2, having database sql server 2005 with sp3. The installation completes smoothly and configuration wizards completes launching the central admin site, but when I try to bring the project server application service up, web page remains idle, but if I start project event and queue service from service manager it starts, still showing project server application service as stopped in CA. Below are the options I had tried to start the service: running stsadm command to start the services, but it failed throwing service name invalid or projectserver instance does not exist errorgranting full permission to the service account on folder C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\, but still no luck One more thing I have observed, after projectserver installation completion, the officeserverapplicationpool is missing in IIS. is it anyways related to project server service?? There is no error in event viewer, where I can go and check. I have tried reinstalling the whole thing again, but still got stuck at same point. I fail to understand if it is a product issue or IIS or Windows issue, because of which I am unable to proceed further... Can anyone suggest something, that would really be a great help... Thanks in advance... Best Regards, Dolly Pandey
