Unable to save Javascript files in SharePoint 2010

I am a site collection administrator and neither I nor basic users are able to save js files properly in the farm.  I use the word properly because if I repeat the process several times, one of the attempts works!  It doesn't matter is I try to save via SharePoint Designer or directly in a content library. I have verified that .js files are not blocked. What I have noticed is that large js files only have this problems. Small one liners get through quickly. The error message I'm receiving is: 'Could not find a Web server at 'site url' on port 80.  Please check to make sure that the web server name is valid and your proxy settings are set correctly.  If you are sure that everything is correct, the web server may be temporarily out service.'  This is not the case as the Web server (1) is running fine.

Any assistance would be appreciated.  Thanks

Hi,

Could you please provide more details about the js files which are unable to save in SharePoint 2010? Where and how are the js files saved and what did the js files use for?

It would be helpful to us to reproduce your issue and resolve it if you can provide more details.

You said that you are unable to save js files in SharePoint, is there any error message when you saved js files? If yes, please provide the error message. If no, please provide what happened when you saved js files.

You have provided an error message, what have you operated before you received the error message?

Its appreciated if you can provide more information and we would try to resolve the error you met. Thanks for your understanding.

Best Regards,

Dean Wang
