Unable to open report manager page from the server
I was able to browse to the report manager page ,which was http://servername/reports from the actual server as well as the clinets that had the right access.
Now, I changed the URL from Report service configuration manager to get some custom link to the reporting page, now the link is something like:
http://myreport/reports. The problem is from the actual server I am NOT able to open/browse to this new URL, but from all of my clinets are able to view/browse to the new link. This tells me that the link is working fine,
but from the server it asks for the user and pass, but when I put it, it doesn't do anything.
Would you please let me know if I need to change anything in the server to get that access back.
Thanks
Bahram

Check the article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/896861
Are you on Windows Server 2003 ? You can try to add the DisableLoopbackCheck registry on the Server, and then check the behavior.
To set the DisableLoopbackCheck registry key, follow these steps:
Set the DisableStrictNameChecking registry entry to 1. For more information about how to do this, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
281308
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/281308/ ) Connecting to SMB share on a Windows 2000-based computer or a Windows Server 2003-based computer may not work with an alias name
Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click
OK. In Registry Editor, locate and then click the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa
Right-click Lsa, point to New, and then click
DWORD Value. Type DisableLoopbackCheck, and then press ENTER. Right-click DisableLoopbackCheck, and then click Modify.
In the Value data box, type 1, and then click
OK. Quit Registry Editor, and then restart your computer.
Hope this helps!!
