Unable to open new documents after applying new template in IE

I have successfully created a new content types to add in my own Ms Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel template.  I am able to create new documents online using Chrome.  However, I have problem using IE10 and IE11.  It prompt to launch using desktop Excel and Powerpoint application when creating a new document instead of open online.  When I choose to create word document from the template, nothing happen after i click.   

Weird is i have no problem open it online when I am using IE without add-on.

Did I miss out some setting?  Can someone help me?

Hi Michiyocyn- First, is the library set to open docs in browser or is it using server default? Make sure it's set to open in browser. Second, IE 10 & 11 can be buggy with SharePoint. Try running them in compatibility mode.

From your description, I suppose that you have choosed "Open in the browser" or "Use the server default (Open in the browser)". Using IE10 and IE11, It prompt to launch using desktop application when creating a new document instead of open online. while using Chrome, It works fine.

Because Chrome is by default have no office client add-ons.

Disable "SharePoint OpenDocuments Class" add-ons, Then new document will be opened online using IE.
