Unable to open all infopath forms in client mode !!

Hello

Just this week we had a problem with all our Infopath form libraries - unable to open the infopath forms in client mode (advanced settings -->open in client mode). All 3 of our Sharepoint environnements - dev, uat and prod have the same problem. We are guessing its due to a Windows update because we did not modify any configurations on the 3 environnments.

Our temporary solution is to open in browser mode - it works fine but is quite slow especially for our big infopath forms.

Our environnement - Sharepoint 2010 Enterprise Edition, Infopath2010, MSOffice 2010

Has anyone had this issue before?

Thank you all in advance for your assistance

Regards

Hello

After some troubleshooting, we found out that the problem was due to Windows update on the client computer. On one computer that did not have week's Windows updates installed, the infopath form opened successfully! Now we are trying to identify the Windows update that caused the problem!

Hello everyone Would like to share this if it helps someone. PROBLEM Unable to open all infopath forms(including customising a list in infopath) in our SP farm. Error message "Microsoft Infopath 2010 is required to use this functionality." Infopath 2010 is actually installed on client machine. Our environnement - Sharepoint Enterprise 2010 + Infopath 2010. CAUSE Windows Update of Lync 2013. Removed these SP addons from clients computers: SharepointOpenXMDocuments SharepointOpenDocuments Sharepoint Stssync Handler RESOLUTION Ran repair of Office2010 on client computer, that resulted in the above addons being added/activated.
