Unable to load the package as XML
I can run a group of packages interactively from SSIS or from the command line but when attempting to run the packages as a job some run fine and some fail. The latest cause of failure is "Description: Unable to load the package as XMLbecause of package does not have a valid XML format". It would seem that because I can run the package interactively from SSIS or from the command line and get the expected results that it is in XML format. any help on what I can to to make this work? Thanks

Does anyone have a different solution to this? I have tried everything that has been suggested and I am still having the same issue.Dave SQL Developer

It seems like the path you are trying to run it from, is too long. I faced the same problem, i scheduled the package to run from "C:\Documents and Settings\XXXXXXXX\My Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\IHS_SSIS\Data Replication\US2074_VDI" and it failed with the same error. I moved it to C:\ and it worked without any issues.

check the whether the account which is executing the job has the access rights on the folder where this ssis package exists. best way is to share the folder and access the same in sql server agent job. Please mark the post as answered to help others to choose the best. chandra sekhar pathivada | www.calsql.com (SQL Server Community Website)
