Unable to load print control
Hi Zilong Lu. Thanks for your replay. Adding user to Power Users group is not an option due to our company security policy. Download signed ActiveX controls, Script ActiveX control marked safe for scripting and Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins are allready enabled in IE8.

We are running SQL Server 2008 R2 64-bit with reporting services. Users is logged on a terminal server 32-bit (Citrix) and trying to print a SQL report from a Sharepoint site they get the error message: Unable to load print control. I have copied the files inside RSClientPrint-x86.cab to C:\Windows\System32 and run regsvr32 rsclientprint.dll. When I log in to the site as a normal user I see that RSClientPrint 2008 Class is installed and Enabled under Add-ons - but I still get the error message. The only thing that works is to add the user to Power User group on the terminal server - but this is not an option for our company due to security issues. What can I do so a "normal" user is able to print reports?

Hi oleschmi, Thanks for your post. Each user who wants to use the print feature must download and install the ActiveX control that provides client print functionality. Depending on browser settings, the user may be prompted to install the control, be prevented from installing the control, or have the control install transparently in the background. While all these behaviors requires that the user have the right to perform this operation, that’s why you add the user to power user group and then the issue gone. So all what you need to do it grant the relevant user the right to perform the behavior I mentioned above.
