Unable to export reports from Report Manager (SSRS 2008 R2)
Hi, I am unable to export reports in any format from Report Manager (SSRS 2008 R2). That includes Word, Excel, PDF, and all of the other types available. Whenever I try to export a report, I get the following message: "Unable to download. Unable to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later." I welcome any useful information. Thanks in advance. Mike M.

Sounds me as an issue with the server on which RS is installed. Have you checked the log files to see if any errors are logged there..you can find the log file at : C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS10_50.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\LogFiles or you are using SSL/TLS to connect to SSRS and “Do not save encrypted pages to disk” setting of Internet Explorer is activated. Hi Mike53593, Please try to reference below resolution. Cause The client is unable to cache SSL content either because of a header sent by the server or the client is configured with the "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" advanced internet options setting, and Server is sending the content down using the Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="" header. Resolution Allow the client to cache SSL content by unchecking the "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" or by setting the BypassSSLNoCache registry entry documented in KB323308. The workaround for Server side is change the following header: from: Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="" header to: Content-Disposition: inline; filename="" header Hope them help you. If the issue still exists, please let me know. Thanks, Sharp Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help you and unmark them if they provide no help.
