Unable to edit the SSIS package in BIDS 2008
HI, one consultant in my company has developed SSIS packages and stored on Development Sql Server 2008 and left the company without giving the actual project.now my turn is to test/modify them according to our need. So i created new SSIS project in BIDS 2008,then imported/and added existing SSIS packages on sql Server by two ways 1) by using 'Add existing package' option, selected the server and package name 2) by using the 'Export package' option on Sql Server package, save as file on my local PC and then added to my project. package are using configurations,so i deleted them for now and i modified one of the package(changed the sql query) saved and reopened and to my surprise my changes are lost . Any thoughts what's happening? I really appreciate your help on this. Thanks,

Just a wild guess... could it be that the file is readonly? Please mark the post as answered if it answers your question | My SSIS Blog: http://microsoft-ssis.blogspot.com | Twitter

For (1) it seems as if the changes are getting saved to the deployed package on your SQL Server hence you can't find your changes locally. (2) should work just fine. Is it your source control playing here!~V
