Unable to disable SkyDrive

I have a Windows 8.1 machine and can't disable SkyDrive. I tried 2 things

1. The group policy for SkyDrive is not visible in Local Group Policy Editor. This was visible on another Windows 8.1 machine. I do see SkyDrive.admx in c:\windows\PolicyDefinitions. I also downloaded new admx files from Microsoft but that did not help.

2. There was a post about adding a reg key. I don't remember the exact key but it was something like Microsoft/Software/Policy. Per the post there should have been a SkyDrive key there but there was not. I thought about just adding it but didn't know how to confirm it worked so didn't.

The machine where I can't change the group policy is 8 years old and probably started out as a Vista machine.

I would prefer to do the Group Policy approach. Any suggestions?

SkyDrive, has been renamed to OneDrive.Instead of looking for SkyDrive, locate OneDrive.

At Skydrive execution if a message pops up and displays a parameter secure no speed limit to one drive. but that's just me cos activation error hasn't really been able to wake up the bean smeller.

im banking on you two guys being here that there aint no pop up like that. Would it be beneficial to a random sampling of skyboarders cutting through the ice like a knife on water.wtf dude pass the damn bong

Thanks but I knew that and did look for both. Neither is in the Group Policy Editor and although SkyDrive.admx is in c:\windows\policydefinitions it does not show in the Policy Editor. My guess, and only a guess, is that I need the correct admx file (I see I also have adml files and don't know the difference) as well as to be sure where it should go.

So still looking for suggestions.

Thanks!
