Hello,

I am using Visual Studio 2012 and SharePoint 2010, i have created a simple Hello World web part, but while deploying it givess error as below 

Error occurred in deployment step 'Activate Features': Feature with Id '8a442317-1158-4994-b265-26499b2def57' is not installed in this farm

Please help me to resolve it.

Hi,

Try deploying the wsp using Power Shell command. Check the Scope of the feature

What is the scope of the feature?Also, is it a Single Server Farm or Multi server farm?

ITs simple single server farm and SQL on different server. ITs Dev environment.

I that case,solution given by Sundarbalu would work. i.e Build the solution, Package it and use PowerShell/STSadm to upload solution and activate feature.
