Unable to copy webpart pages with contents from one document library to another
Hi
In our SharePoint Environment, we don't have access to write any code, we only have contribute permission, we have a team site. We have created 3 document library with lots of web part pages within each library and now wanted to move all the
web part pages from 3 library into a new library. We tried using Explorer view/Web Folder and copy/paste. But it only coping the blank pages without any web parts like content editor webparts and their contents.
Kindly let me know how can I move these pages to the new document library so that they get copied with all the information (webparts & their contents) within them.
Thanks, Ani

Try using contents and structure to move the pages from one document library to another.

Thanks Aj. But as mentioned earlier, I am having Team Sites template and I can't activate Publishing Feature due to some strict policies in the SharePoint environment imposed by our Client. Do we have any other alternatives?

Hi,
Following is my idea even though it is not a perfect solution.
1)
Go to
your original library > document library settings > permissions and management > save document as template page.
2)
Select
include content in save as template page(save this template called “template1”).
3)
Go to
view all site content > create on the bar >
libraries > template1
4)
Create a new library.
5)
Delete the documents you don’t need.
6)
Delete the template if you will not need them anymore
If you have much better solution later, please share it.
Hope it is helpful!

Use powershell commandlets to export & import either the site, library or list:
Export a site:
export-spweb -identity http://yourspsite -path \\yourpcname\c$\site.cmp
Export a list or library (specify list or library name using -itemurl):
export-spweb -identity http://yourspsite -path
\\yourpcname\c$\listorlib.cmp -itemurl /cake
Import extracted ".cmp" file to a target SP site:
import-spweb -identity http://contosoweb/ -path \\yourpcname\c$\listorliborsite.cmp
