If you are getting an "Access Denied" message after entering your credentials, then check that you have the dreaded "disable loopback check" fix in place:http://blogs.bluethreadinc.com/thellebuyck/archive/2008/10/30/401.1-error-when-accessing-sharepoint-from-server.aspxIf you are not able navigate to the address, then make sure that you have either entered the sitename into DNS or updated your hosts file.I hope this helps and answers your question-Jeff DeVerter, MCSERackspaceblog:http://www.social-point.comtwitter: http://www.twitter.com/jdeverter

Hi Jeff, Thank you for reply. I have other SSP on the same address and on a different port working good but newly created doesn't work.I received message in IE 7: Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage Most likely causes: You are not connected to the Internet. The website is encountering problems. There might be a typing error in the address. What you can try: Check your Internet connection. Try visiting another website to make sure you are connected. Retype the address. Go back to the previous page.

Hi, Are you using form-based authentication? NTLM or Kerberos? What is the result if you remove SSL from SSP site? What is your AAM? Did you configure host header in IIS? If so, try to remove it and run iisreset /noforce, then check the effect. Try to access your new SSP admin site on your SharePoint server, what is the result? Did you create new web applications when you create the new SSP? If not, try to create a new web application and then check the effect. For more information about creating a new SSP, please refer to the following article: Configure the primary Shared Services Provider http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262649.aspx Hope this helps.
