Unable to complete download from Technet Evaluation Center

Hi there,

I am getting annoyed after 3 days of repeated download for Windows 2012 R2 Evaluations 180 Days. 9600.17050.WINBLUE_REFRESH.140317-1640_X64FRE_SERVER_EVAL_EN-US-IR3_SSS_X64FREE_EN-US_DV9.ISO (ISO File) always downloaded at 200MB / 500MB ++ OR 2GB instead of 4.2GB . I cant resume & to redownload again & again. By changing 3 PCs , work place & home the same thing happen. I do not know what is wrong & by changing browser from google chrome to internet explorer , same thing happen . Please advise , i need to try before making any purchases .

thank you

I have seen others report similar issues - generally has to do with the IP service in the area.  Not much can be done from Microsoft's end.

Here is a direct link to the download - http://care.dlservice.microsoft.com/dl/download/6/2/A/62A76ABB-9990-4EFC-A4FE-C7D698DAEB96/9600.17050.WINBLUE_REFRESH.140317-1640_X64FRE_SERVER_EVAL_EN-US-IR3_SSS_X64FREE_EN-US_DV9.ISO

1. For IE try to delete cache.

2. Make sure that there is no QoS that may influence download (... or anything similar that make download stall when speed is too low.) Do not start multiple downloads from other PCs at the same time.

3. Try another time (early morning/ night)

4. Make sure that you have enough place (twice ISO size at least)

5. Report to MS if nothing helps.

Hi,

So you did not download the ISO file using the link as Tim mentioned?

I have test and could download with no problem.

You could try again later.

Can you have a friend on the other side of town give it a try?  This was happening with another individual and it seemed like no matter what he tried, there appeared to be a cached copy on his ISP's server and he couldn't get around it.  He asked a friend to download and got a copy with no problem.
