Dear Server Expert,
I am trying to install a test server by using normal computer instead of server to test on the Hyper V. I am using Windows Server 2012 Standard and install it from CD. Currently, for the windows, I have installed it inside the SSD Hard disk that have 250GB space and for data there will be under 1TB normal SATA HDD.
I have installed the windows successfully and join to the domain. However, I find one strange thing. Whenever I take out the windows installation disk from the CD ROM, it won't boot into windows whenever I restarted the computer. it will just stuck with one blinking cursor and there are no error messages no matter I hit any key on the keyboard. I have checked that from the BIOS, the primary boot up will be the SSD. There are no storage devices attached on the USB ports too. Whenever I inserted the windows CD and reboot the computer, it will successfully boot into windows without any error messages.
may I know whether it is issue with the installation or issue with the BOOT partition? I did the installation twice and the issue still the same.
Thanks.
Regards,
