Unable to add SCCM Secondary site in Distribution Point
Hi, We are using 1 SCCM Primary site & 4 secondary sites. Now on two secondary sites i am facing very weired problem. i have added some packages to all secondary sites. Out of them these two are yet not downloaded. earlier these sites were also working fine. I have tried to delete these sites from those packages DP but on one Sec Site, it's showing Removal Pending. On second site it's removed but when i adding it again, not showing in Distribution Point. it's seems like something got hang. Even i have restarted primary site server as well as secondary site server. Kindly tell me how to resolve this issue. From where i can clear these pending requests. Dhiraj

Hi, Have you checked Distmgr.log ? or have you tried to remove DP and install it again on the secondaries sites ?Bechir Gharbi. MCSA, MCSE M+S, MCITP Server/Enterprise Administrator, MCT, MCTS Configuration Manager/Forefront (Time Zone : GMT+1)

or have you tried to remove DP and install it again on the secondaries sites ? Bechir, please do not suggest such measures (like uninstalling / reinstalling) without knowing the cause of the problem. That won't most likely fix anything. Uninstalling / reinstalling should only be done as the last resort. Dhiraj: see sender.log / despool.log / distmgr.log on both the secondary and primary site if they contain any errors.

Hi Torsten, I have not suggesting uninstalling/reinstalling DP, I just wanted to know if Dhiraj has made this operation, perhaps it will help us, may be I expressed myself badly ... Sorry :) Best Regards. Bechir Gharbi. MCSA, MCSE M+S, MCITP Server/Enterprise Administrator, MCT, MCTS Configuration Manager/Forefront (Time Zone : GMT+1)

Hi Bechir/Torsten, I have only tried to Deete/Add those Secondary sites DP in Package DP. There is no error in sender.log / despool.log on Primary site & dismgr.log is having below message for one of the problematic secondary site. Package server ["Display=\\SCCM02\"]MSWNET:["SMS_SITE=IN2"]\\SCCM02\ does not belong to any child sites, ignore it. There is no error message on Secodary site above logs. I have done some changes last month on some pacakges & updated them. now this updatd version is downloaded on all sites except these two problematic secondary sites. Dhiraj

Yes, i was able to resolve that issue. The issue was those Secondary sites were not responding (Unown status) hence unable to download packages. Dhiraj

Do you mean you are not able to add the DP again? What's the DP status? is it healthy? or you have already added DP into package but package is not getting download. Dhiraj
