Anytime I try to run a report, IE opens to the following error: HTTP Error 404.3 - Not Found The page you are requesting cannot be served because of the extension configuration. If the page is a script, add a handler. If the file should be downloaded, add a MIME map. At the bottom of the error page, it directs me to this Microsoft KB: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/942032/ I've been trying to figure out what needs to be configured but am having a hard time. I've done some googling to no avail. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks, Jeff

I've not seen that specific error scenario before, but what I can offer is: * Ensure that the reporting point site system role is installed on a site system * Verify that the SMS Reporting Host service is running on that site system * Verify that it is working by launching IE and going to http;//reportingpointservername/smsreporting_sitecode If that works, it will bring up the SMS Reports viewer, which you can then launch any reports. If that works, then all that is required for others is to have: * Membership in the SMS Reporting Users group * Read rights to the Site class * Read rights to run the individual reports (or class Read rights)

Wally, Thanks for the info. We had ASP.NET installed but not just ASP on IIS 7, so I guess the ASP.NET was not sufficient. Adding the ASP role fixed the issue. Thanks again, Jeff

I think it would be helpful when the document "How to Configure Windows Server 2008 for Site System Roles" gets updated, because the point "Adding ASP Role" is currently missing. Same here Windows 2008 + SCCM SP1Installed ASP Role solved the problem.

It's even in the docs: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb681030(TechNet.10).aspx: "Active Server Pages must be installed and enabled" ;-)

Hi JeffWe faced similar issue as customer gave us SQL server pre installed before installing SCCM.After everything got installed and configured , reports were not running.But found out ASP was not enabled in Webserver services.Enabled ASP and did IISresetThats it !
