Unable to Export to Spreadsheet in SharePoint Form Library
Hi All, I am unable to export SharePoint Form Library view data in a Spread Sheet. Whenever I am trying , I got following error message. An operation that uses the database driver could not be completed. If the driver is a Microsoft Driver, make sure the driver file isn't damaged, and if it is, reinstall the driver by reinstalling Microsoft Query. For other drivers, contact your database administrator or driver vendor. Any idea how to solve the problem ? Muhammad Tariq khan

one quick question how big is your list. Did you try to remove the grouping option from view and then try to export it. you can find grouping option over here "On the right side on the list u will find an option View > Drop down the view > Select modify this view > Scroll down > U will find the Group by option > set that to none will do the trick." hope this will works. thanks -wsSharePoint administrator, MCTS,MCITP

Dear Waqas, As you suggested, I am trying to use "Export to Spreadsheet" option from a different browser (firefox), following message box displays "To export a list, you must have a Windows SharePoint Services-compatible application ." And then another popup appears to download a file (owssvr.dll) which cannot be opened. Upon checking the log file, I found following log entry List item query elapsed time: 2034 milliseconds, Additional data (if available): Query HRESULT: 0 List internal name, flags, and URL: {0E73E7A0-6009-479C-BF49-7F289E698027}, flags=0x0000000834c01008, URL="http://portal/" Query XML: "<Query/>" SQL Query: " ........ Do you require any further information ? Regards... Muhammad Tariq khan

Hi, 1. "To export a list, you must have a Windows SharePoint Services-compatible application " This error is caused because some properties are not set properly in IIS. Right click on website SharePoint is running on Select HTTP Headers Tab Ensure you have the following properties in the Custom HTTP headersName : MicrosoftSharePointTeamServices Value : 6.0.2.5530 Restart IIS If it does not solve then check this article http://techtrainingnotes.blogspot.com/2009/05/sharepoint-with-service-pack-2-sp2.html Let me know if it worksCheers, Hemendra-MCTS "Yesterday is just a memory,Tomorrow we may never see"
