Unable to Create Package
This is my first attempt at installing/configuring SCCM, which went without any issues until I tried to upgrade to SCCM R3! Installed SCCM into a virtual test environment Svr 2008 R2 , MS SCCM 2007 SP2 plus SQL 2008 R2. Tried to upgrade to SCCM R3 by installing the hotfix (KB977384). After running the msi I get an error: "Package Creation Failed" with the Error code: 2147749889. I have read through "related topics" and tried stop/start WMI Service, reboot SCCM Svr and still get the error appearing. Appreciate any help with this.dennymc

Hi, Run the hotfix and enable logging, like this SCCM2007-SP2-KB978754-X86-ENU.msi /l C:\kb978754.log Check the errors in the logfile. It can be some AV software preventing the installationKent Agerlund | http://scug.dk/ | The Danish community for System Center products

Hi, Make sure that the UAC (User Access control) is disabled. Other than starting/Stopping the WMI service, have you tried to troubleshoot WMI http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa394603(v=VS.85).aspx ?Bechir Gharbi | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/bgharbi/default.aspx

I'm also getting this same error on Server2008 R2... I wonder if it is related to the WebDav extensions?
