Unable to Connect to the Remote Server error after IP Change
Webserver - Windows 2003, IIS 6, SSRS 2005 Database Server - Windows 2003 w/ SQL 2005 We are running SSRS 2005 on a separate web server and hosting the database on a separate server. All was working fine and then we had an IP address change, and now we continue to get the "Unable to Connect To the Remote Server" error when trying to access the /Reports. I'm able to get to /ReportServer and pull the reports from there so the web server is getting to the database. And supposedly the firewall has all ports open so there shouldn't be anything stopping there. I should also mention that there are no "ERRORS" showing in the RS Log files. I think I have read almost every since post online about this error and nothing seems to resolve our issue. We are using SSL with a certificate so I can't just change the Secure level to 0. Any suggestions? We have been down for 2 months now and are actually in the process of just trying to get a SSRS 2008 one up and running but would still like to figure out this issue. TIA!

Hi, Open RSWebApplication.config file, within default installation it is stored at C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.3\Reporting Services\ReportManager, and change the ReportServerUrl tag to contain both the server URL and the virtual directory.
