Hi Chungb,

Please run Wbemtest.

Connect to root\sms --> Enum Classes-->Select recursive- -->Select SMS_ProviderLocation () Click on instances

Could you find that there was any entry for this?

Also, on your SCCM database server, is there any Failure Audit messages in Event Viewer?

Hi,

Yes, when i click on instances, it appear to have oneobjectthere " SMS ProviderLocation.SiteCode=..... ".
SCCM database server didn't show any error.

I will try toreinstall the.Net framework as i suspect itcausing problem.

Hi Eric,

I found this forum post from google as I too am affected by this same issue.

I have the same AdminUI error. Doesnt matter if if is a local console or on a remote computer, the same error appears. I have just applied SP2 however the site was functional after the upgrade.

When attempting the WBEMTEST issue above, when i clicked on instances, WBEMTEST crashed! (so assume that is bad).

We need to rebuild alot of servers soon so I am inclined to get started on reimaging and restoring this site server, but I was hoping for a quick fix if possible.

Just a quick update. I have found some install after SP2 had cleared the PATH environment variable entries. I re-added the PATH from a working Config Manager server (Test server cofigured the same as this one). After a reboot, the server has come back good and appears to be fully operational.

In an entry above from 2009 from Eric Zhang, he asks you to check wbemtest; did you run that?  do you still have the single entry?

Otherwise, my only other suggestion is to contact Microsoft support.

chungb

make sure you follow the steps in How to Configure DCOM Permissions for Configuration Manager Console Connections, also make sure the SMS Provider is part of the admin group and the SMS Admins is part of the computer Administrator group.

have anyone know how to perform this checking?

"In WMControl, under Security, insure that the SMS Admins Group has full rights to the root\SMS container and that these rights propogate down to the Root\SMS\Site_<SiteCode) Container"

Thanks.

When i use WMI Diagnosis tools to check my <a href="file://\\\root\sms\<site_sitecode">\\<siteserver>\root\sms\<site_sitecode> , it keep showing "Busy (4/22/2013 9.15.12am)..... "

is it showing the WMI corrupted?

Here is some follow up for this issue,

I call up Microsoft support and they still investigate the issue, but doesn't sound good for me.

Anyway i have one finding on my SCCM server, when i run WMIdiag.exe to check WMI, the report show that my root\ccm and root\cimv2 is missing or corrupted. Anyone have idea how can i fix it?

example:

root/cim2, CCM_LogicalMemoryConfiguration, 0x80041002 -(WBEM_E_NOT_FOUND) Object cannot be found

root/ccm/Scheduler, 0x8004100E - (WBEM_E_INVALID_NAMESPACE) Namespace specified cannot be found
