Hello, I am trying to use USMT offline mode with a Windows 7 to Windows 7 migration as outlined here (although it's for XP to Windows 7): http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/1735-using-offline-mode-in-windows-pe-using-usmt-4-via-a-task-sequence-in-sccm-2007-sp2/ The entire process runs successfully except for the loadstate, or the part where it restores all the profiles and data. I've checked this thread: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/configmgrosd/thread/d4fdfb19-1c24-417b-8b33-0d64af72dda4 and have done what is listed there (allowing local profiles to be restored), but it did not resolve the issue. Is there anything else I can do to try and figure out what might be causing the loadstate to not work? Or, would something like an xcopy command ran at the end of the sequence suffice at all if I can't figure out why the loadstate won't work? I realize this won't carry over information such as printers and desktop wallpaper. If you find my post helpful, please hit the "Vote as helpful" button on the top left of my post so that others may see that it is helpful as well.

I'm wondering how I can find this out. The loadstate is failing silently; the process completes and I can login. I checked the log I found in the CCM directory in Windows but I honestly couldn't read through it to find the error.
