URGENT!! localisation on Reporting Service 2005
Hi, my company is doing localisation on reports generated by Reporting Service 2005.I understand from the blog http://blogs.msdn.com/bwelcker/archive/2005/07/03/435130.aspxthat we can make use of Translation feature of SSAS for localisation of dynamic data retrieved from database. This is great. But,
1. Is there any other way for localising static text, other than using conditional expression when loading the text?
2. Can we integrate localisation feature of .NET framework (i.e.by creatingone resource file per language) with Reporting Service?
I think the toughest part for localisation in SSRS is the report parameter.
I'll greatly appreciate any suggestion and input in this localisation issue. I am new on SSRS and .NET, please bear with me for any stupid question.

Perhaps you can place the static texts in the database... Or just a different datasource... You can dohidden subreports and reference the result to fill your text boxes... Might be some work but then you're done...
Forget about the report parameters... There's no way... At least we didn't find any even after quite some research... Maybe SP1 will offer something for us...

Thanks for the input, Thomas. Storing static text in the database is a good idea. I have given it a try. Thanks alot.
Any Idea if we can use Resource file as doing localization in .net?

Hi Thomas,
Is it still possible in SQL Server 2008 R2?
