UNINSTALLING SCCM 2007 SP2
Greetings to IT Professionals and gurus. i have deployed sccm sp2 2007 on server 2008 r2, i have about 900 forefront endpoint protection and sccm client which is being manager by sccm server. i just found out that the SMS_executive service is not in the services mmc, i have try site repair and reset but it failed giving me the errror that Sms_executive service is not installed on the computer.when i start the configmgr setup from the start menu it says the the item setup.exe has been deleted or remove i want to ask that if i uninstall the whole sccm and installs it again will my deployed sccm client be affected and forefront client also be affected? i mean do i have to push sccm client software and fep antivirus to the client again or they will be updated automatically with the new installation? i will like to use the same server name and site code. thank you for your care. Last time I saw this it was because the Performance counter was broken. Check out this post http://sms-hints-tricks.blogspot.com/2011/08/role-keeps-installing.htmlhttp://www.sccm-tools.com http://sms-hints-tricks.blogspot.com

Hi, I am currently in the SCCM 2007 training course from Microsoft. The trainer specifically said if you do need to uninstall SCCM 2007 and then reinstall you should use a different Site ID. If you use the same Site ID as before you will have many weird issues in Active Directory.

correct never use the same site code in single Hirarchy recommanded by Microsoft, every time you install SCCM Server always use different site code.Syed Kasif

I had once to uninstall the reinstall the SCCM 2007 SP2 R3, and i did use the same site code, i faced many issues even during the setup process but i was able to overcome them all and my system is healthy and working fine now, i reinstalled the agent to all the clients from the console and that was about it with SCCM.
