Two sharepoint servers: only one keeps asking login
In my company we have two sharepoint servers installed The first one is the Companyweb site based on Sharepoint services 3.0 installed automatically with Small Business Server 2008 The second one is a Sharepoint 2007 Enterprise SP2 installed on a vmware virtual machine based on Win 2003 Srv SP2 Both have a public IP (2 different IPs) and it is possible to connect to each of them from outside our LAN using https protocol One of my colleague (the CEO... :-) ) uses Mac and Safari browser and when he connects to Companyweb (https://mydomainurl:987) there is only one login request, just to connect. Once logged he can do everything (change pages, create tasks, etc) without any problem When he connects to Sharepoint 2007 sites after the first successful login (then he is connected to the site) there are may other login pop-up windows, sometimes 3 or 5 or 10 times on the same page, and it's very annoying and almost impossible to work His account is domain administrator in our AD domain and "Owner" on both sharepoint sites I found a lot of informations about Internet Explorer settings (trusted sites, select Auto Logon with current username and password, etc) but nothing about Safari... and I'm not sure it's a IE or Safari problem (with my account and IE I do not have any problem with both sites and my CEO with Safari has problems only with one site...) Why these two different behaviours ? What is necessary to check / change / configure to have only one login window, just to connect (as it happens with Companyweb site) ? Thank you Corrado

Left here in a SP forum only because the server with the problem is not the SBS / company web one. Note for future reference that SBS / companyweb problems are not supported in the SharePoint forums. There are no forums for them so support is in the newsgroup microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs. (Moderator pre-2010 SP forums) P.S. It would be better if your posts here said only what was wrong in the SP environment (in Windows) and did not mention SBS and company web at all) FAQ sites: (SP 2010) http://wssv4faq.mindsharp.com; (v3) http://wssv3faq.mindsharp.com and (WSS 2.0) http://wssv2faq.mindsharp.com Complete Book Lists (incl. foreign language) on each site.
